Established in 2019, Quirky Events is a small events company based in the North of Leicestershire, and provides a range of locally produced produce to you through events or private functions.
We have teamed up with the Ferneley’s ice cream within Melton Mowbray, who produce their own ice cream using the milk from their own herd of mainly Freshian Cows. This traditionally made ice cream is not only locally produced but is available in some favourite flavours such as Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry and Blue Moo! The ice cream is not only a high-quality product but tastes amazing as well!
Our ice cream is served in our 1940’s style ice cream bike which offers a ‘quirky’ addition to any event.
We specialise in wide array of events such as private parties, weddings, corporate functions and large events. We are able to bespoke each of our bookings and can also offer the addition of popcorn, candyfloss and other delicious treats. We will always try and accommodate all requests.
During the Christmas season, we can provide hot mulled wine and cider along with warmed mince pies which can be complimented with a scoop of the delicious Ferneley’s ice cream.
With Covid 19 still playing a part in our lives and events still being cancelled we are now selling the ice cream online in small pots. We have named this the ‘The Ice Cream Club’. The ice cream can be purchased in quantities of 4 plus and be delivered straight to your door (Local delivery only).
We have also now diversified into operating a mobile ‘Lunch Club’, where we sell tasty fresh cobs, drinks and snacks to local businesses in and around Leicestershire. We also now sell hot sausage rolls and a selection of hot pasties. Not only do we operate a mobile service to local business we can also take corporate bookings for lunches catered to your needs.
Quirky events provide a hassle-free service, offering peace of mind and complete professionalism. We are a fully registered food business with insurance and all of our staff are trained with in Food Hygiene to Level 2.
We currently have a food hygiene rating of ‘5’ and have first hand food hygiene and health & safety expertise’s available to use through a family member. Compliance with all current food safety and health & safety legislation is of a paramount importance to us as a business.
Quirky Events is very keen to use Sustainable packaging where possible. All our packaging is either compostable or is paper recyclable.
What Is Compostable and Paper Recyclable Packaging?
Paper Recyclable: Paper Recyclable means the product can be recycled through existing recycling streams. Recycling is the process of taking a waste item and re-manufacturing it into a useable product. This reduces the dependency on new raw materials.
Compostable: This is the process of bio-degrading organic / plant-based material into compost for the use of fertilising the soil.
